RADHIKA’S POV:

After lecture, when I, Serena and Anvika were exiting the college gate. “Today was a very long day. Don’t you think guys. The lecture was also so boring” I said while stretching both my arms.

“Yes, you are right, Radhika. Also, the lecturer was not handsome at all, so I also don’t feel like concentrating in the class today” Serena replied.

“You both are truly unbelievable guys but now I am very hungry. Let’s go to the fancy restaurant which is newly open. I heard that they cook delicious food” Anvika said. And we both agreed.

Serena and Anvika are my best friends. Serena is my childhood friend and she knows everything about me and always supports me in every situation. I have met Anvika after coming to this university and we three are in the same stream also. I am very open to them and very glad to have them. It's just like we three are sisters from different mothers.

As we reached the restaurant, it was fully decorated with beautiful flowers and at the entrance ‘WELCOME’ was written in bold letters like it was welcoming us. We felt like VIP guests. As we entered the restaurant, it had round tables with flowers kept on it and the lighting was best. It was feeling so romantic and we can see that most of the customers were couples as well.

We grabbed a table which was near the window to enjoy the view while eating and looking at the menu, we ordered our meal. After few minutes, the waiter served us and we were enjoying our meal.

“You didn’t forget your past right, don’t you?” Serena asked while we were eating.

“Khane ke time no talking, right Anvika” (No talking while eating) I said and looked at Anvika to reply but she didn’t hear and was feeling uncomfortable.

“Anvika, Anvika, what happened? You look uncomfortable.” Serena asked worriedly.

“Look at those bastards, they are staring at us and passing weird and disgusting comments” she replied.

After hearing this, I stood up and said “Serena, give me that glass filled with juice and let me make them taste this juice.”

“Radhika, don’t tell me, I have a bad feeling now” Serena replied.

“Radhika, please don’t do anything, let’s ignore them and let’s leave this place as soon as possible” Anvika told me.

“Nope, I won’t. Let’s teach them a lesson” I replied winking at my girls and making a dangerous smile on my face.

Ignoring my friend’s warnings, I moved towards them holding the glass of juice with a full speed but before I could reach them, I accidently collided with a tall man who suddenly came in front of me talking to someone in his phone and all the juice got spilled on me and some on him.

“Oh shit, I was going to spill this over them and this happened with me instead” I thought taking a deep breath in anger.

I was just wanting him to apologize me but instead he ignored and then he started to argue with me. “Ahhh kahan se aate hai aise log?” (From where does these kinds of people come) I whispered.

I was going to take out all my anger on him but Anvika interrupted in between to know what’s going on.

After Anvika’s and that stranger’s short conversation, I was extremely shocked to know that he was Anvika’s elder brother. For some time, I thought that “How can a jerk like him be the elder brother of this sweet girl. Oh my god what’s happening in this world?”

“Anvika, is he really your elder brother?” I asked to confirm myself.

“Yes, he is my brother” she replied. “Don’t worry, he may be rude from outside but inside he is so nice.”

“I hope so” I slowly whispered.

Serena came to us and told “if your chit-chat is over then can we have our meal. I am very hungry and the meal is getting cold.”

“Yeah, sure let’s eat” we both replied in unison.

After the delicious meal, we all bid each other and went to our homes.

At evening, I came back home.

“I am back” I said.

“Welcome home, Radhika” both Myra Bhabhi and maa said together.

“What happened Radhika. You look tired,” said Myra Bhabhi.

“Nothing Bhabhi. It’s a very long day. By the way Bhabhi when will we go for shopping.” I asked while relaxing on the sofa.

“Don’t worry Radhika, I have already done shopping. I thought you might be tired after college.” Myra Bhabhi said.

“Bhabhi, believe me you are the most beautiful lady I have ever seen in my whole life. Thank you so much for today, Bhabhi, I was actually very much tired” I said to Myra Bhabhi.

Bhabhi smiled and said “oh my drama queen, you are most welcome.” And we both laughed.

By hearing our laughter, Maa told me “Radhika beta, do some household work as well otherwise your mother-in-law will taunt me that I didn’t teach my daughter anything. Now come to the kitchen and help me.”

“Don’t worry Maa. I am not going to marry so soon. I have enough time to learn about all those things. But now I want to sleep.” I told Maa in an exhausted way.

“But beta if you sleep now, what will you do at night?” Maa asked worriedly.

“Don’t worry Maa, I have lots of assignments and projects to do.” I said to Maa.

At night around 9’o clock, when I was about to go to my room after having dinner, my Fulmati ran towards me and said, “Bua, Bua, my ice-cream…?”

“Okay, let’s go then. I am not going to break my promise today. Athrav bhai, can I take your car?” I asked.

“Okay but be careful on your way, Radha” Athrav bhai said.

“Get some ice-cream for me also and don’t flirt with some random boys on the street okay, chipkali.” Ayansh bhai teased and then laughed at me. (chipkali - lizard)

“See Myra Bhabhi this half-brain monkey again teasing me.” I said Bhabhi by making a sad face.

By seeing this, Myra Bhabhi smiled and told Ayansh bhai “Don’t tease my drama queen, devar jii.” [devar ji – brother-in-law]

“Now go-fast Radha it’s already late and when you come back, bring some ice- cream as well, we will watch a horror movie together.” Athrav bhai told me.

“Okay let’s go Fulmati” I said.

“Bua……Khushi”

“Okay sorry sorry my princess, let’s go.” We both left.

At ice-cream parlor.

“Khushi, which flavor do you want?” I asked.

“I want chocolate flavor with some choco chips in it.” She replied.

“Ok then sit here my baby, I will get one for you” I told.

I went to the counter and told “one chocolate and one cherry vanilla ice-cream please.”

I took both the ice-creams and was about to leave but suddenly I again collided with some stranger and was shocked to know that this man was not a stranger for me !!!........
